Questions for 7200.11 drive

I have an ST3320613AS here that starts up, becomes ready, but when it detects, detects as LBA=0. S/N etc are OK.

Although HDD series comes up as ||TetonST4 and there are no parameters after that.

If I click on the Load from HDD, it comes up with an error 123 (probably because it is trying to create a directory with called ||TetonST4)

Any ideas on how to fix this? I need to keep the data. Will the repair LBA=0 work on this drive (in the 7200.11 section) if it is not one of the ones that stays busy?

I also cannot read the ROM.

Hi Contnuum,

1. According to our experience, this problem should be happened in 7200.11.
2. if this hard drive belongs to 7200.11, please choose the 7200.11 in Load management by user-select. Don’t click the “Load from HDD”
3. there is a case study in the user menu especially for ST7200.11. the user menu is in the installation path.

If can’t be solved, we would like to arrange the remote assistance for you.

Thanks

It is a 7200.11, but the reason I am a bit hesitant to use the procedure outlined in the PDF (we have fixed many 7200.11 drives this way) is that it becomes ready after a time. None of the others have become ready in the past.

Is it the same problem?

If it is not the same problem, will it damage the data?

Yes, it’s the same problem.

And this procedure won’t damage the data even it is not the same problem.
